Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Sugar is Sweet
And so are You


Hi every one! Have you ever heard this rhyme before? Well, I have. I've known this rhyme since I was in prep class and whenever I remember this rhyme, I always laugh to myself. Do you want to know why? (I don't care if you don't want to know because I'm telling you anyway).

Well, in prep class, my teacher used to teach us some nursery rhymes and that rhyme was one of them. Me and my classmates were still in prep class and as we can't speak English well yet, we just followed what the teacher sang and memorize it. That time, we were still young and well, as children we like to quarrel and fight like kids as we were kids.(whenever I imagine myself as a kid I always laugh because really, I thought I was already a grown up that time). So, whenever we sang the rhyme and get to the "And so are you" part, we point to the person we hate so much and usually, it's between a girl and a boy. I can't help laughing so much whenever I remember it because I can't help it. Even if they didn't mean it, I imagine them saying "You are as sweet as a sugar" to the person they hate. Luckily, I never point like that because I am a shy girl. But now, whenever I sing that rhyme, I always change the last line "And so are you" into a "And so am i"! Very clever of me isn't it? well, maybe not but still, it's not as stupid and saying "And so are you" to our enemy.... :P
